Simply, I love my Little Man. He doesn't know he's a cat, he thinks he's a little human. He was an inside cat till
I realized that he didn't care much for the litter box. He was already de-clawed but he doesn't know it. He still catches
mice, lizards, and birds. And yes, he climbs trees. He thinks he's human.
He's better than a dog. He greets me every day when I come home from the office. If he's not already in the driveway,
he quickly runs there and plops down on his side like he's been waiting on me all day. He meows until I rub his belly.
Then he purrs and wriggles back and forth to maximize the 'luvin' I'm giving him.
At night, if he wants attention, he may go to the front door and howl at me. Or he'll jump on the roof and come to my
second-story computer room and meow at me through my window. Even when its dark I can tell where he is when he moves ...
there's no mistaking that white chin and neck of his. He gets on the roof by jumping on the trash can, transferring to
the fence, and then leaping to the tarpaper. My computer room overlooks a small roof that only covers a utility area of
the house.
When he catches me some game, he only does it to show off. I know this because he knows where I am at different times of
the day. If he snares anything during the day, he'll leave it in the middle of the sidewalk or on the middle of the front
porch because he knows that's where I enter the house. In the morning I leave through the back door. If he snags anything
at night, he'll always leave it on the back porch just for me to see. It will always be gone within 24 hours no matter what.
He just wants me to know he's a good hunter.
You know how most cats have an attitude when it comes to humans? They run and then if they feel like it, they MAY come over
and see if you're worth playing with. Not my Little Man, I taught him right. He always wants to love from everyone he sees,
he can't get enough of it.
He loves to bump heads. Don't know why, but he does. He has always let me caress the webbing of his paws. When we'd watch
TV together, I'd rub the soft skin in between his toes ... cats do not let you do that ... EVER!!! He also loves for me to
play with his brite white ear-hair. Yep, that's right. I'll place my forefinger in his ear and my thumb outside it and
just rub away. Puts him to sleep. When we'd watch TV, I taught him to sit up like a human ... and now he wants to be held
like you're cradling a baby. AND he'll stay perfectly still without getting fidgety if you'll just rub his belly or chin a little.
Love that Little Man.
